about
The reason to write this text was the `14 fifa world event.
It filled me with disgust and anger. But not only this event.
It’s transferable to many. The song is about the patriotic feeling
that is communicated and marketed in the mainstream. There
are idiots who were/are waving flags and singing national anthems
but don’t think about the serious matters. Maybe they just want
to party – that’s even worse. Lots of people i know, who are capable
of recognizing things that go wrong, were watching that crap too.
Trying to avoid or escape capitalism and all it’s branches isn’t that
easy once again. Ideals in the real world are hard to manage. Even
aware people watch games built on blood. That make me think that
each person is an asshole, even me. (I was riding my bike in town after
the final match. I got a little scared of all that drunk „patriotic" people.
They blocked the street and screamed at me. They carried flags
everywhere. To me, they seemed like these persons who wouldn’t call
themselves „nationalists“ but „normal“. But i’m scared beacause i don’t
know what they consider to be „normal“ the next time.)
lyrics
Macht. Das ist Macht was euch so macht.
Marsch, Gesang, Schnaps und nackte Haut –
was ihr euch traut.
Wer sagt, dass ich ein Märtyrer bin?
Dir geht es schlecht.
Du spielst Atlas.
Lass doch die Kugel fall’n.
Ich will nicht heimwärts, ich will nur weg.
Familie, Freunde, Ort – Willkür.
Oh süßer Brei, wir wollen keinen Zucker.
Wer aufsteht, der muss auch los.
Ich bleibe auf den Beinen,
geh einfach nicht ins Bett.
Denn draußen ist es plötzlich leer.
Ich kann im Dunkeln sehn.
Eigentlich schade, denn hier ist
Tristesse schön.
Und jetzt singen sie tatsächlich.
Alle das Gleiche, un terschiedlich und falsch.
Lächerlich, bei der Prämisse.
Und ich denk‘ Masseneuphorie.
Heiligkeit im Refrain.
Ein alter Reigen, der altes bringt.
Ein Schwanken, weil man vor Köpfen
keine Füße sieht.
Postmodern, konservativ – der Sinn ein Hure.
Schwimm weiter alter Krüppel.
Dir nimmt niemand was damals im Traum
schon einmal deines war.
Ich lauf und klau, verschlepp, verschenk,
ertränke mich im Leben.
Mein Kind, mein Hemd, mein Brot und Tee –
Blut strömt von meinen Händen.
Ich weiß, ich mach nichts heile,
ich lege nur in Schutt
und das Streben zur romantischen Vollendung,
also das EINE oder das ANDERE,
das macht uns so kaputt.
